My love for tacos is almost as intense as my love for my instant pot. Before I’d ever used an instant pot, I thought it sounded too good to be true. A gadget that would make my life easier? Pfft. It must make some really subpar food. Years later, I continue to be pleasantly surprised and proven wrong. A device that can give you slow-cooker-quality meals in minutes is something worth raving about, This Instant Pot Ground Beef Taco Meat is one of my family’s staples because it’s simple to make, delicious, and versatile. It’s wonderful in tacos, taco salad, burritos, burrito bowls, and as leftovers. Best of all, it’s wholesome, healthy, paleo, gluten-free, Whole30 approved!

NOTES

If you have a lot of grease in your pan after cooking ground beef, feel free to drain it before adding spices and tomatoes. I used 90 percent lean ground beef and didn’t need to drain.

You can sub garlic powder for minced garlic if that’s what you have on hand

If you enjoy spicier taco meat, add 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
