The Del Inferno sauce costs $9 at Del Taco. Why not save money and make it at home using my copycat recipe? I’ve done my best to capture the original flavor. While I won’t claim it’s perfect, it will definitely add a delicious spicy kick to any meal you pair it with.

A spicy sauce served at Del Taco also known as Del Inforno, The sauce is too spicy which’s why lots of people choose it among other Del Taco sauces, It’s Made primarily from yellow bell peppers, vinegar, spices like cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper, as well as onions and garlic, The sauce can be drizzling over tacos, burritos, and other Tex-Mex favorites. It Adds a delicious spiciness with some sweetness and tanginess as well to any dish it touches.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

How to Make Del Taco Hot Sauce?

Step 1:

First, chop the yellow bell pepper into tiny pieces. Then, cut the garlic and onion into very small bits.

Step 2:

Next, in a pan, heat the oil on the stove. Add the chopped yellow bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook them until the vegetables are soft.

Step 3:

Pour in the water and vinegar. Stir them into the vegetables in the pan.

Step 4:

Now, put in the sugar, salt, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and paprika. Mix everything very well.

Step 5:

Let the sauce bubble a bit on medium-high heat. Then, turn the heat down low. Let it cook for about 15 minutes. Stir it sometimes.

Step 6:

Use a blender to make the sauce smooth. After that Let the sauce cool down. Put it in a clean, tight container to save it in the fridge. And Enjoy.
