1 cup glutinous (sticky) rice 1 cup coconut milk 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups heavy cream 1 cup whole milk 3/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 5 large egg yolks 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced

Rinse the sticky rice several times until the water runs clear.

Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours.

Drain the rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth.
