Roasted Garlic Butter

2 heads of garlic 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter, softened 1 tablespoon of olive oil Salt to taste Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Step 1

First, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the garlic heads and slice off the tops to expose the individual cloves. Place each garlic head on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle them with olive oil. Wrap the garlic heads tightly in the foil, creating a sealed packet. Place these packets on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened butter with the roasted garlic cloves. Use a fork to mash the garlic and butter together until well blended. Season the mixture with salt and some ground black pepper.

Once your garlic butter is ready, transfer it to an airtight container, If using parchment paper, roll the butter into a cylinder and twist the ends to secure it. Store your garlic butter in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to two weeks. and Enjoy it with your favorite meals.
